How to Join NEPA

The New England Press Association has four categories of membership. Complete our online membership form and submit it to us to begin your membership.

A special offer for new newspaper members... Applicants who qualify for a regular or affiliate membership, and who haven't been a member of NEPA for the last three years, may take advantage of NEPA's special offer for new members. They may join for one-third the total dues amount the first year of membership, pay two-thirds the total dues amount the second year of membership and pay the full dues amount the third year of their membership.

(1) Regular Members
A daily or weekly community newspaper in New England may apply for regular membership entitling it to full benefits in the association. To be eligible for regular membership, newspapers must normally publish at least 50 times per year, have at least 25 percent of its content be news-editorial, and at least 75 percent of the news-editorial content must be produced by local newspaper staff or purchased from recognized news sources. (3a) Affiliate Newspaper Members
Newspapers that don't meet all of the requirements for regular membership may apply for affiliate membership and will be entitled to all benefits. Newspapers that would qualify for affiliate membership include those that publish less than 50 times per year. Newspapers that have been published for less than a year, but meet regular newspaper member requirements, may join as affiliate members during their first year of publication and will become regular members after one year of publication.
