is NECAN?
NECAN
is a network of more than 245 New England community newspapers that
allows you to publish your classified ad with one order for one low
price. Simply complete the online form and submit before
Wednesday at noon. We'll do the rest! The following week your
classified ad will appear in more than 245 newspapers reaching 4.7
million readers.

Standards
of Advertising Acceptance
The New
England Press Service (a subsidiary of the New England Press
Association), the originating newspaper and participating newspapers
reserve the right to properly classify, edit or reject advertising.
Advertising
will be rejected if it is not in compliance with state and federal
regulations or if it appears to be false, misleading, fraudulent,
illegal or in poor taste.
Guidelines
The
following guidelines for advertising acceptance have been adopted by
the NEPA Board of Directors, but do not and are not intended to
reflect all specific policies of participating newspapers.
- NECAN ads
are line ads only. We do not provide boxed ads. Illustrations,
logos, headlines, borders and other display devices will not be
accepted. The first one to three words of the ad will appear in
capital letters.

Advertisers must make known the name, address and phone number
of the individual or company submitting the ad order.
- Business
opportunity and investment advertising must indicate the amount
of investment required and the type of business involved.
The New England Press Service will not accept the following:
- Adoption
advertisements

Advertising that offers employment through listing publications
or employment directories
- Work at
home advertisements
- Ads for
credit cards, credit repair, debt consolidation or personal
loans

Advertising for weight control substances, appetite suppressants
and food supplements
- Ads
selling information regarding government surplus
- 900
number ads
- Ads
requiring payment in advance for information or that require
sending money through the mail
